Sounds in the Grounds concerts are designed to comply with all official guidance on Covid-19, ensuring audiences can enjoy live music outdoors in a safe and responsible way, and without the usual rush for a space.

Patrons will have their own designated picnic patch which will be socially distanced from others but close enough to share the fun.

The picnic patches will be defined by painted lines in our grass arena within the grounds, with views of the House/Castle/Grandstand. They are available for two (W1.5 x D1.5m), four (W2.0 x D1.5m) and six people (W2.5 x D2.0m) set out in alternating rows. Larger groups are able to purchase patches next to each other. The patches will be one metre apart within each row, with two-metre aisles between the rows.
Please bring your own chairs, but we advise you to leave tables at home for space reasons.

There will be a variety of food and drinks available to purchase at all venues, providing delicious options for all tastes. So why not leave the hassle at home and support independent traders as they emerge from the bleak months of Covid restrictions.

You are also welcome to bring your own food and drink to all Sounds in the Grounds venues (you could always add a treat or two from our traders!).
